Friday Fall Concerts – 6:30 p.m. in Central Park

Enjoy that crisp autumn air with live music at Zona Rosa’s FREE Fall Concerts in Central Park every Friday at 6:30 p.m. Bring chairs and blankets and let the kiddos play at the park while you relax and unwind from the busy week.

Festivals & Special Events

Red Friday Tailgate – September 6, 5 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. in Central Park

Kickoff the season with the ultimate tailgate including appearances by KC Wolf, KC’s pop princess impersonator, ‘Almost Taylor Swift’, performance from the Chiefs’ Rumble Drumline, plus special activities, pop-ups, food trucks, live DJ, and more. This is a free community event open to all ages. Please bring a donation item to support Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City.

Hanging with Heroes – September 21, 9 a.m. – noon in Central Park

Kansas City Mom Collective is back with its third annual Hanging with Heroes. From superheroes in costume to community heroes, enjoy photo opportunities with Planet Comicon Kansas City and Justus League, meet local heroes and their vehicles, including the KC Fire, Police, and US Army. All ages can enjoy special activities, food trucks, and live music during this heroic event experience. This event is free and open to the public with requested donations of boxes of breakfast bars and granola bars to benefit Feed Northland Kids.

Fall Fest – October 12, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. in North Park

Plan the perfect fall day at Zona’s Fall Fest. Experience everything from pumpkin decorating to bounce houses, enjoy food trucks and fall cocktails, plus live music, and yard games. With free family-friendly activities and local shopping with The Strawberry Swing, there’s something for both moms and kids!

Sips & Treats – October 18, 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Plan a mom’s night out with a night of adult trick-or-treating. Grab a bag at a participating store and trick-or-treat around the center for special gifts & prizes. Free spooky brews (21+) at each stop, costume contests, local pop-up vendors and special discounts available all night.

Beats and Broomsticks – October 25, 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. in Central Park

The Halloween event of the season is back with trick-or-treating for kids at participating retailers followed by our annual tradition of Hocus Pocus starting at 7 p.m. Enjoy food trucks, DJ, photo moments with The Sanderson Sisters, spooky brews, beers, and more.

Laura Mulcahy
Laura is wife to Marty, and mom to Michael (15), Joseph (13) and Anna (8). She spends most of her days juggling working from home, shuffling kids to activities and can usually be found cheering on the boys from the baseball stands. She is born and raised in Kansas City, graduated from KU (Rock Chalk Jayhawk!) and has spent most of her career in advertising sales. She loves big Italian family dinners, trying out new restaurants and activities and loves raising her family in Kansas City!
