After purchasing 10 acres in Centerview, Missouri to grow their own grapes in 2000, the owners of Amigoni opened up a tasting room within the Stockyard District of the West Bottoms to bring their award-winning wines to KC. The beautiful space is perfect for a quick stop, in order to enjoy a tasting and cheese plate. No appointments are necessary, and tours are available upon request or advanced booking.
Fountain City Winery
Fountain City Winery is owned and operated by a husband and wife team who bonded over their shared love of wine. Located in the historic West Bottoms, their space feels hip and artsy without being pretentious. Stop here for a few small bites, a tasting and to listen to local singers and songwriters. A self-proclaimed boutique winery, KC Wine Co. is proving to be a heavy hitter as a sought-after destination, and not just those who love their award-winning wines and ciders. KC Pumpkin Patch also resides near the vineyard, and is a fun seasonal stop for families.

On a nice day, the shaded, vine covered patio of Stonehaus Farms Vineyard and Winery in Lee’s Summit is the place to be. The varieties they to offer to sample and purchase are primarily sweet, perfect for those who love a bold moscato or dessert drink.
Somerset Ridge Vineyard and Winery
A red barn welcomes guests to the vineyard at Somerset Ridge, with signs encouraging walks through the lines of grapes, followed by a tasting inside. Available by appointment only, the vineyard itself, located near the airport, provides tastings and tours. Special pairing events happen regularly, with Christopher Elbow Chocolates and cheeses from Green Dirt Farm which makes for a perfect date or girls night out! A tasting room, located inside Green Dirt Farm Creamery in Weston, is open at any time to sample a flight or glass.

Aubrey Vineyards boasts a Napa-like experience in a relaxing wine bar atmosphere. They offer over 15 varieties, available by the bottle or glass, with tastings sold in increments of three or five. Guests can sip, much on an array of charcuterie options, all while overlooking an expansive vineyard view in Overland Park.
