Sarah grew up in Manhattan, Kansas (Go Cats!), she moved to Minnesota where she met her husband, Shea. Realizing how much she hated snow in May, she convinced him to move to Kansas City in 2010. Together they have lived in Midtown, Waldo, the Plaza, and now Overland Park. Sarah is mom to 10-year-old, Henry, 7-year-old Clark and 5-year-old Lucy. She has her master’s in urban administration and is passionate about making Kansas City a more equitable and supportive community. In between the crazy, she likes to drink coffee, run, hike, travel as much as possible, and experience all things Kansas City!Laura is wife to Marty, and mom to Michael (11), Joseph (9) and Anna (5). She spends most of her days juggling working from home, shuffling kids to activities and can usually be found cheering on the boys from the baseball stands. She is born and raised in Kansas City, graduated from KU (Rock Chalk Jayhawk!) and has spent most of her career in advertising. She loves big Italian family dinners, trying out new restaurants in Kansas City on a rare date night and can never say no to an impromptu dance party with her kids.Kristin is a Lee’s Summit suburb transplant, after living in the Brookside and Plaza areas for over eight years. Raising three young boys with her husband, Jake, has helped her to embrace the messy, wild side of life where love is expressed in bear hugs and body slams. Professionally, she can be found teaching classes as an adjunct professor in the areas of Business, Marketing and PR. She is able to provide her students with applicable, real-life knowledge as she draws from several years working in the corporate sector. “Free time” (ha!, what's that again?) is spent on an occasional date night to favorite local restaurants, reading blogs on everything from home design to politics, riding her sweet beach cruiser bike and thinking of ways to convince her husband to do yet another home improvement project.Hi, friends! I’m Megan, KCMC's Podcast Coordinator and co-host for the Kansas City MomCast. I am a teacher and feel happiest when I'm subbing and volunteering at my kids' school. I also have a passion for thrifting, consignment, and sustainable retail. I do weekly live sales on Facebook for locally and woman-owned KC Grow Co. I'm a mom to two awesome kids, Peyton (9) and Gage (6). My husband, Chris and I, met right after highschool and have been together ever since. We live in Overland Park and have a feral yellow lab named George and two guinea pigs, Cuppy and Dexter. My favorite things include thrifting, audiobooks and podcasts, sushi, chips and salsa, decluttering, staying up too late, and anything to do with animals/animal welfare. I love people and hearing their stories and look forward to connecting with KCMC readers and Kansas City MomCast listeners!I'm Julia, and I live in Olathe with my husband of 13 years, my 7 and 2.5 year old daughters, and a sweet old blind pug we call Boopers. I’m a social worker turned SAHM (at least til my youngest starts school). I love Dr. Pepper, thunderstorms, and talking to other adults. I hate coffee, diet culture, and washing dishes. I'll talk your ear off about the best local parks and which restaurants have wronged me by changing their long-standing menu items. I try to walk the line between knowing a lot of stuff and not being a know-it-all. Some days I'm better than others.Born in Kansas City, Jamie spent age 8-18 in Columbia, MO yet always considered KC to be home. Jamie returned to KC after high school to attend Avila University, where she earned her degree in Communication. After residing in South KC, Raymore, the Plaza, River Market and Overland Park, Jamie is now a proud (and permanent) resident of Lenexa. Jamie is wife to her love, Andy, and mom to the dream team; Lucy (13), Quinn (11) and Hazel (7). Jamie is the Community Engagement and Events Director for Kansas City Mom Collective and loves creating fun and exciting ways to gather as a community, especially if a theme is involved! Jamie loves a good coffee shop, is a self-diagnosed Fall-aholic, is a Peloton newbie, is a proud member of “The Read That Society” (a book club full of close friends that just celebrated its 14th anniversary), is an internet-ordained minister, she loves blasting Paul McCartney out of the minivan windows and is a sucker for a good home decor store.Community Engagement and Events DirectorHey! I'm Hanna, and ten years ago, I made the leap from rural Missouri to Kansas City, where I met my wife and best friend, Stephanie. We have a very strong-willed and spirited 2-year-old daughter named Charlie, who never fails to make us laugh. When I am not watching Bluey on repeat or in the never-ending cycle of what to make for dinner, I love to drink my weight in coffee, consume as many books as I can, and scream loudly at the TV when the Chiefs are playing.
