This efficient driving route has been created to hit a few of the best homegrown light displays in South Olathe. Plug the addresses below into the app of your choosing or find this route on our Google Map. We hope you have a blast making some fun new holiday memories with your family!

Mom Pro Tips
- Friday and Saturday nights are typically the busiest nights so if you want to feel less rushed to get through the neighborhoods you should visit on a different evening.
- Bring hot chocolate or cider from home or order a “kids hot chocolate” at Starbucks to get one made at a lower temperature perfect for little ones.
- Several of these stops have light shows that are sync’d to a radio station, so take note below of which station to tune to!
Stop 1 :: Paulie’s Penguin Legacy

Tips: Yes it’s THAT Paulie’s penguins! The display is back in 2024 at a new location not far from the original. It is bigger and better than ever with lots of new giant inflatable friends. Park and walk around to the backyard where you will find Olathe’s beloved Penguinzilla. Leave a donation in the mailbox on the porch for a local woman battling cancer. A generous community member is matching all donations this season with a donation to the Salvation Army!
Stop 2 :: Lewis Family Display

Tip: Make sure you turn right at the end of Summertree to see the nativity display in their side yard!
Stop 3 :: Addington Christmas Display

Tip: Their entire cul-de-sac has gone all out to decorate for Christmas so you get multiple displays at one stop!
Stop 4 :: Uncle Roger’s Holiday Spirit Lights up the Night

Tip: If you have time, take a drive through this subdivision. Many houses are lit up and the trees have been decorated for a cohesive festive look.
