Green Street: Downtown Lee’s Summit’s Family Friendly Jewel

Why Families Should Visit

Kid Friendly Spaces. Sometimes taking children to a farmer’s market can be a chore. Not anymore! There’s an impressive playground (open year-round), a turfed open area with adorable Adirondack chairs to relax, open spaces to run and giggle, plenty of room to move and local shops offering child friendly treats and eats.

Weather Protected Fun. The new indoor, temperature controlled market space means visitors no longer have to worry about the forecast, and can visit rain or shine. A clear canopy over the turfed outside space, means there’s always a space to run and play.

Something for Every Age. From the live music and food trucks to scheduled story time and arts and crafts for little ones, the Green Street Market intends to be buzzing year-round, not just on farmer’s market days.

Beauty Around Every Corner. Downtown Lee’s Summit is charming anyway, but the addition of this space makes it even more impressive. The modern buildings, unique sculptures, colorful landscaping and abundance of places to sit cements the Green Street Market as the official crown jewel of downtown Lee’s Summit. Make an entire day of it by eating lunch at one of the many local restaurants within walking distance, and great local shops sprinkled throughout the streets.
