
Catching a Royals Game at Kauffman Stadium is a classic Kansas City experience, and a great option for a family outing. Whether you’re taking a budding baseball star, busy toddler or a baby experiencing their first baseball game, the Royals offer amenities and services to ensure your outing is enjoyable.

There is a lot to think about before taking on a Royals outing for the whole family. Here is everything you need to know for a fun and safe visit to Kauffman Stadium!
Tickets for Kids
Children 32 inches in height and under do not require a ticket to enter Kauffman Stadium for Kansas City Royals games. However, they must sit on the lap of an accompanying adult.
What You Can Bring In
Strollers
Fold-up strollers must be stored under your seat or may be checked into any Guest Services office. Guests are encouraged to leave non-folding strollers in the car.
Bags
To provide for a safe environment at Kauffman Stadium and expedite entry into the stadium the Royals have outlined the only bags approved for entry into the stadium:
- (1) Clear bag no larger than 12” x 12” x 6” with all items inside easily visible.
- One-gallon clear zip-seal bag (Ziploc® bag or similar).
- Small clutch bags that do not exceed 9″ x 5″, with or without a handle or strap, may be carried into the stadium along with one of the clear bag options.
- An exception may be made for medical reasons or manufactured diaper bags that accompany infants and young children after proper inspection.
Food and Drink
Guests are permitted to bring food resembling an individual portion in a clear, plastic bag no larger than 1 gallon in size. Guests may bring unfrozen water bottles into the stadium, provided the water is in a plastic 1-liter or smaller sealed/unopened plastic bottle (one per person). Soft-sided single juice or milk containers or ADA required liquids may be allowed in as well.

Baby Changing Tables
Baby changing tables are available in all restrooms of Kauffman Stadium.
Child ID Bracelets
Child ID Bracelets are available in the Guest Service Office located behind home plate on the Plaza and View Level. Child ID Bracelets will be handwritten with the seat location and contact phone number of their party in case the child is separated.
Lost Children and Guests
Children who are separated from their family or friends may be escorted by a stadium staff member to one of the Guest Services offices, located on Plaza Level behind the Diamond Club Lobby, or on View Level behind home plate at section 420. All children are encouraged to visit Guest Services for a Child ID Bracelet when they first arrive.
Nursing Room
The mothers’ nursing room is located on Plaza Level behind home plate next to First Aid.
Sensory Rooms
Royals Charities Sensory Rooms presented by JE Dunn are located inside each dugout concourse along the first and third base side closest to the elevator. Each Royals themed room is enclosed, furnished, and features several sensory friendly features like puzzles, fidget items, bean bags, textured walls, activity panels, and wall art. Kulturecity-trained attendants will be stationed in the rooms and always ready to assist. Each room can accommodate a few families at a time. Please contact Royals Guest Services ahead of the game if you are interested in using the sensory rooms.
First Aid
The main First Aid office is located on Plaza Level behind the Diamond Club Lobby near home plate. There is a satellite First Aid office located on View Level behind home plate at section 420. Guests needing immediate assistance should seek out their nearest Royals event staff associate.
First Royals Game and Special Occasion Certificates
Visit either of the Guest Services offices to receive an official certificate to celebrate! The main Guest Services office is located on Plaza Level behind the Diamond Club Lobby, and the satellite office is located on View Level behind home plate at section 420. During every Royals home game, find ballpark favorites for $5 or less, including beer, soda, hot dogs, pretzels, and popcorn. These value buys will be available at Crown Classics concession stands in sections 120, 135, 201, 213, 242, 405, 417, and 422.
Tender Love & Chicken
Find gourmet chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches and ranch dusted fries with a variety of dipping sauces by Section 206, 308, & 427. The combo meal is perfect for families to share!
Belfonte Ice Cream Shop
Located behind Crown Vision (near the Little K), the Belfonte Ice Cream Shop offers Belfonte Ice Cream Sundaes and Milkshakes, perfect treats for kids after playing in the Outfield Experience. Additionally, Belfonte Ice Cream Pints are available in select flavors through concession stands and restaurants in the stadium.
Andy’s Frozen Custard
Half pints of Andy’s Frozen Custard are now available at The K! Choose from chocolate malt, vanilla, Forever Blue, and Oreo! Grab a half pint at Hot Corner Grill locations outside of Section 221 and 232, as well as the Price Chopper Marketplace and Diamond Club.
Sluggerrr’s Lunch Box
The littles will love to take home their Souvenir Sluggerrr lunch box filled with a choice of hot dog or chicken nuggets accompanied by fruit snacks and beverage for just $9.99 plus tax. You can find these in the concession area near The Little K.

Quirk Bar
Stop by the Quirk Bar in section 252, featuring a variety of Boulevard’s spiked seltzers, including some on tap for a refreshing game beverage!
Vizzy
Check out the Vizzy stand behind Crown Vision in the Outfield Experience featuring a variety of Vizzy Hard Seltzer flavors! Vizzy, Simply Lemonade, and Topo Chico will also be available at various bars and portables throughout the stadium.
New Food Options
Joe’s BBQ
New in 2025 and a local favorite, Joe’s Kansas City Bar-B-Que will be in the right field area adjacent to the outfield experience. Fans will be able to purchase the world-famous classic Z-Man Sandwich (slow-smoked beef brisket, smoked provolone, topped with two crispy onion rings on a toasted Kaiser roll), a Chicken Z-Man (smoked, pulled chicken and BBQ mayo, smoked provolone, topped with two crispy onion rings on a tasted Kaiser roll), and onion rings.
Pasquantino’s
Located at section 208, Pasquantino’s will offer Vinnie’s Italian Beef Pasqwich: Shaved Italian Beef topped with two slices of Provolone Cheese, Two Strips of Bacon, Crispy Hashbrown Patties, Giardiniera Aioli all served on buttered and Grilled Brioche Bun. A portion of the proceeds benefit The Kansas City Royals Foundation and its support of Wayside Waifs.

Gameday Experiences
Broadcast Booth Experience
Watch your favorite announcers call the action as you visit the Royals radio booth for an inning! This experience is sold both individually and for groups of up to four participants.
One fan helps the grounds crew install first base. Must be at least 12 years old.
Game Ball Delivery
Take the first ball to the pitcher’s mound before the game! This experience includes video board recognition on Crown Vision.
Watch Batting Practice from Field Level
Watch the Royals and their opponent take batting practice from the warning track.
Watch Fireworks from the Field
Watch Fireworks Friday from the outfield grass at The K! Wheelchair accessible and weather permitting, this on-field experience is available for Friday games from April 25 to the end of the season, except for September 5.

Fun Run | Sunday Home Games

QuikTrip Fountain Deck
Enjoy a front-row view from right field to maybe catch a homerun ball or two, then grab some food and drink in the newly upgraded lounge space featuring all-you-can-eat food and beverages, 12 flat-screen TVs, and furniture.
Brew & View
Get a ticket and a 24 oz domestic canned beer in a dedicated View Level section. No assigned seats, just grab your drink and enjoy the game from standing drink rails or seats within the area. Beverage credit can also be redeemed for bottled water.
Rivals Restaurant

Located on the Loge Level of The K along the third base line near section 301, Boulevard Brewing Craft & Draft features a selection of over 20 beers on tap and another 50 bottled beers. Craft and Draft is home to a quick-fire artisan pizzeria as well as offering an elevated a la carte menu with a fresh approach to pub fare.

The Royals experience doesn’t end at Kauffman Stadium. The Kansas City MLB Urban Youth Academy is a nonprofit organization with the mission to empower Kansas City’s youth through baseball, softball, academic and social opportunities to be the leaders of tomorrow.
The Academy features four outdoor fields, a pressbox for educational programming and a 42,000 square foot indoor facility. It sits just one block from the site of a dramatic change in baseball when, in 1920, the Negro National League was founded in the Paseo YMCA building. The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum also sits one block south of the Academy.
The Academy is committed to providing a positive environment for youth, educating players on what it means to be Major League citizens while surrounding them with coaches and mentors who teach the skills of baseball and softball while serving as good role models. Through athletic-focused training, education, and character development programs, the Academy builds a strong foundation for youth based on work ethic, leadership, responsibility, accountability and moral principles.

Youth Elite Training (YET) Program
The Youth Elite Training Program is an opportunity for the Intermediate to Advanced player ages 9-18 to continue developing their overall skills for the game of baseball. Players will gain instruction in hitting, fielding, throwing, and base running.
Open Gym
Monday – Friday from 3:00 – 5:00 pm, Urban Youth Academy hosts an open gym for anyone to utilize the indoor field, cages and weight room.
Playball RBI
The Urban Youth Academy hosts the Royals RBI divisions of T-Ball, Machine and Player pitch to increase and promote greater inclusion and participation of youth with diverse backgrounds while encouraging academic achievement.
Fastpitch Softball Programming
Fastpitch Softball Programming offers comprehensive opportunities to grow and develop in many facets of softball, such as:
- Offensive work – focusing on hitting, slapping, bunting and baserunning
- Defensive work – focusing on throwing, catching, fielding, game situations.
- Fastpitch pitching – focusing on developing pitchers by building them from the ground up.
- Fastpitch catching – focusing on footwork, soft hands, throwing, framing, and blocking.
Programs are built for Beginner to Advanced levels offered to athletes ages 7-18.
Fastpitch Softball clinics and camps are offered in the winter and summer months. These camps and clinics vary in content and instruction.
