Neighborhood Lights Guide: Brookside Area

Tis the season for loading all the kids up in the car in their pajamas and driving around to see neighborhood light displays!

This efficient driving route has been created to hit a few of the best homegrown light displays in the Brookside area. Plug the addresses below into the app of your choosing or find this route on our Google Map. We hope you have a blast making some fun new holiday memories with your family!

Mom Pro Tips

  • Friday and Saturday nights are typically the busiest nights so if you want to feel less rushed to get through the neighborhoods you should visit on a different evening.
  • Bring hot chocolate or cider from home or order a “kids hot chocolate” at Starbucks to get one made at a lower temperature perfect for little ones.
  • Several of these stops have light shows that are sync’d to a radio station, so take note below of which station to tune to!

Stop 1 :: 5500 Ward Parkway

Tip: Several other beautifully decorated mansions can be seen as you drive along Ward Parkway.

Stop 5 :: Armour Fields Neighborhood

70th St. to 69th St. between Ward Pkwy and Wornall Rd.

Tip: Start on the south end (70th Street) and zig zag through the neighborhoods going north. 

Stop 6 :: Candy Cane Lane

W. 68th St. between Pennsylvania Ave. and Wornall Rd.
