Mom Pro Tips
- Friday and Saturday nights are typically the busiest nights so if you want to feel less rushed to get through the neighborhoods you should visit on a different evening.
- Bring hot chocolate or cider from home or order a “kids hot chocolate” at Starbucks to get one made at a lower temperature perfect for little ones.
- Several of these stops have light shows that are sync’d to a radio station, so take note below of which station to tune to!
Stop 1 :: 5500 Ward Parkway
5500 Ward Pkwy. Kansas City, MO 54113
Tip: Several other beautifully decorated mansions can be seen as you drive along Ward Parkway.
Stop 2 :: West 64th Terrace
1227 W 64th Terr. Kansas City, MO 64113
Stop 3 :: Snowflake Street
W. 70th Terrace between State Line and Ward Pkwy, Kansas City, MO 64113
Stop 4 :: Armour Fields Neighborhood
W 70th Terr. to 69th St. between Ward Pkwy and Wornall Rd.
Tip: Start on the south end (70th Terrace) and zig zag through the neighborhoods going north.

Thank you SO MUCH for the guide to Christmas Lights! I love going by them every year and this list was amazing and comprehensive! I’m 46 and looking for places to see lights because, even though my kids are out of the house now, we’re ALL kids-at-heart this time of year, and my love for Christmas Lights didn’t leave my heart when my kids left the house! So this list is for anyone, young and old, who feels the magic of Christmas!! Thank you again!
Perhaps you have suggestions in the south kc area? Grandview/ Belton/ Raymore?
