What followed was a rare and life-threatening diagnosis of streptococcal toxic shock syndrome. After an emergency C-section saved her baby boy, Beau, Brie’s condition rapidly declined. She was placed in a medically induced coma, endured multiple life-saving surgeries, and ultimately underwent the amputation of all four limbs.
