Spring Break Camps in Kansas City

If you’re sticking around Kansas City during Spring Break this year, that doesn’t mean your kids are stuck at home. Many local organizations are offering Spring Break Camps to keep your kids active and engaged during the week off!

Impact Gymnastics

Campers will get to do recreational gymnastics, organized play, watch a movie (during lunch), and more! Half-day, single day and week long camp offered.

Times: 9 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.; 9 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.; 1 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.

Jewish Community Center

When school isn’t in session for breaks or in-service days, The J offers Vacation Days! Each day has a different theme. Activities may include crafts, games, and special events.

Dates: March 16-20
Times: 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Ages: Kindergarten – 5th grade
Fee: $60-$109, varies based on program, and membership

Kansas City Parks and Recreation

Children enjoy sports, games, arts and crafts, and educational activities. Bring lunch and wear closed-toed shoes.

Kansas City Young Audiences

Kansas City Young Audiences Spring Break Camp themes include multimedia, spring into movement, improv, making Ren Fair costumes, musical theater, audition prep, build a toy, and more.

Kansas City Zoo Spring Break Camp

Join us on your Holiday Break for four days of animal antics, fun games, crafts, experiments and animal encounters at the Zoo’s Spring Break Camp. Full week and single day camps offered.

Dates: March 16-19, March 23-26, March 30-April 2
Time: 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Ages: 5 – 12
Cost: $265 per 4-day camp, $65/single day camp (10% off for FOTZ Members)

Pinnacle Gymnastics Camps

Spring Break Camp has never been more fun!  Drop the kids at Pinnacle for a morning or afternoon of fun! Pinnacle Gymnastics offers morning camps for ages 3 and up and afternoon ninja and recreational gymnastics camps for ages 5 and up.  All camps include a variety of in gym activities and themed fun. Camp themes include preschool, ninja, gymnastics, tumbling, team and dance camps.

Sporting KC Soccer Camps

Players will have the opportunity to improve their game and make memories while having fun! This camp will include entertaining activities that challenge players in areas such as skill development, form and technique, and in-game decision making. All Sporting KC Youth Camps are designed to empower players to feel more confident in their soccer abilities. This youth soccer camp is led by SKC Youth coaches, and utilizes a developmental curriculum aligned with the Sporting KC Academy.

Wonder Camp

Wonder Campers meet new friends and enjoy stimulating, themed learning in the Wonderscope museum exhibits. With indoor and outdoor activities, group games, art projects, and exploration playtime, your children are sure to have a memorable time at Wonder Camp!

Sarah McGinnity
Sarah grew up in Manhattan, Kansas (Go Cats!), she moved to Minnesota where she met her husband, Shea. Realizing how much she hated snow in May, she convinced him to move to Kansas City in 2010. Together they have lived in Midtown, Waldo, the Plaza, and now Overland Park. Sarah is mom to four kids including a teenager and a toddler. She has her master’s in urban administration and is passionate about making Kansas City a more equitable and supportive community. In between the crazy, she likes to drink coffee, run, hike, travel as much as possible, and experience all things Kansas City!
