Spring Break Camps in Kansas City

If you’re sticking around Kansas City during Spring Break this year, that doesn’t mean your kids are stuck at home. Many local organizations are offering Spring Break Camps to keep your kids active and engaged during the week off!

Spring Break Drama Camp

Get the drama out of your house with our Spring Break Drama Camp. No auditions and no leads in our shows, everyone gets a significant role written just for them.  Camp builds towards a performance for friends and family. Free show, no tickets, and we provide all costumes at no charge.

Code Your Own Arcade Camp

Ninjas will create retro-style arcade games with Microsoft MakeCode Arcade. Throughout the camp, Ninjas combine the power of coding with game design to enhance their programming skills and develop games inspired by classic platformers, adventure games, and more! At the end of the camp, they will bring their games to life on handheld gaming devices to play and share with friends.

KCFC Spring Break Camp

Kansas City Football and Cheer provides an annual 2-day camp during Spring Break. Camps are run by former Kansas Jayhawk and owner of All In Sports Performance, Johnny Beck. Coach Beck and the rest of the staff use their extensive knowledge of football and athletic training to teach your child new skills for their game. Examples of skills that are taught at our camp are listed below:

Kansas City Parks and Recreation

Spring Break will be a week-long getaway for your children to have a good time in a safe environment. Youth will enjoy arts and crafts, games, athletics/ fitness activities and field trips. Campers must bring their lunch, but snacks will be provided.

Kansas City Young Audiences

Kansas City Young Audiences Spring Break Camp themes include visual arts, Main Street beats, musical theatre, and improv adventure camps. Scholarships are available.

Fee: $175 half day, $275 full day

Kansas City Zoo Spring Break Camp

Join us on your Holiday Break for four days of animal antics, fun games, crafts, experiments and animal encounters at the Zoo’s Spring Break Camp.

Time: 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Ages: 5 – 12

Pinnacle Gymnastics Camps

Spring Break Camp has never been more fun!  Drop the kids at Pinnacle for a morning or afternoon of fun! Pinnacle Gymnastics offers morning camps for ages 3 and up and afternoon ninja and recreational gymnastics camps for ages 5 and up.  All camps include a variety of in gym activities and themed fun. Camp themes include preschool, ninja, gymnastics, tumbling, team and dance camps.

Sporting KC Soccer Camps

Players will have the opportunity to improve their game and make memories while having fun! This camp will include entertaining activities that challenge players in areas such as skill development, form and technique, and in-game decision making. All Sporting KC Youth Camps are designed to empower players to feel more confident in their soccer abilities. This youth soccer camp is led by SKC Youth coaches, and utilizes a developmental curriculum aligned with the Sporting KC Academy.

Wonder Camp

Wonder Campers meet new friends and enjoy stimulating, themed learning in the Wonderscope museum exhibits. With indoor and outdoor activities, group games, art projects, and exploration playtime, your children are sure to have a memorable time at Wonder Camp!

Sarah McGinnity
Sarah grew up in Manhattan, Kansas (Go Cats!), she moved to Minnesota where she met her husband, Shea. Realizing how much she hated snow in May, she convinced him to move to Kansas City in 2010. Together they have lived in Midtown, Waldo, the Plaza, and now Overland Park. Sarah is mom to 10-year-old, Henry, 7-year-old Clark and 5-year-old Lucy. She has her master’s in urban administration and is passionate about making Kansas City a more equitable and supportive community. In between the crazy, she likes to drink coffee, run, hike, travel as much as possible, and experience all things Kansas City!
