Mom Pro Tips

  • Friday and Saturday nights are typically the busiest nights so if you want to feel less rushed to get through the neighborhoods you should visit on a different evening.
  • Bring hot chocolate or cider from home or order a “kids hot chocolate” at Starbucks to get one made at a lower temperature perfect for little ones.
  • Several of these stops have light shows that are sync’d to a radio station, so take note below of which station to tune to!

Stop 1 :: Cedar Street Lights

1521 West Cedar Street, Olathe, KS 66061 | Website

Music: Tune to 97.7 FM

Tips: This stop has a fun selfie station (look for the light up wings) and you can also request what songs you want next on this website. I highly recommend the Taylor Swift ERAS mix!

Stop 2 :: Prairie Farms Subdivision

South of Santa Fe St. and Persimmon Dr. Olathe, KS 66061

Tip: Drive through the various streets in the subdivision to see many houses decorated for the holidays.

Stop 3 :: Cedar Creek

26170 W. 108th Terrace, Olathe, KS 66061

Tips: This subdivision has a whole street and a cul-de-sac decorated with fun holiday displays and lights. If you believe Die Hard is a Christmas movie, this is the display for you!

Stop 4 :: Shadow Glen Golf Club

10464 S Cedar Niles Blvd Olathe, KS 66061

Music: Tune to 98.7 FM

Julia Willhite
I'm Julia and I live in Olathe with my husband of 18 years, my 12 and 8 year old daughters, and our rescue pug Mabel. I’m a social worker turned SAHM and love Dr. Pepper, thunderstorms, and talking to other adults. I hate coffee, diet culture, and washing dishes. I'll talk your ear off about the best local parks and which restaurants have wronged me by changing their long-standing menu items. I try to walk the line between knowing a lot of stuff and not being a know-it-all. Some days I'm better than others.
