Camp Birchwood for Girls | Kansas City MomCast Sponsored Episode

This episode is sponsored by Camp Birchwood.

We’re learning about Camp Birchwood, a summer camp for strong girls. Our guests, Samuel and Georgia Del Favero, owners of Camp Birchwood tells the history of the camp in Northern Minnesota, including Georgia’s unique perspective growing up as a camper and now an owner. Camp Birchwood offers the classic camping activities, but with a special emphasis on confidence and social-emotional skills, lessons that girls can rely on for their entire lives.

Meet Samuel and Georgia Del Favero

When Samuel he isn’t talking to parents, hiring and helping train their wonderful staff, running the marketing, or overseeing facilities, you can find him teaching canoeing, going for a trail run, riding horses alongside Georgia, or cheering (probably the loudest!) for the campers at camp and in their everyday lives. Outside of supporting her staff, Georgia loves to spend time with the camper, teaching riding lessons, walking her dog, trimming hooves, paddling a canoe, making Samuel laugh, and riding horses. Check out their full bios here.

Megan Coffey
Hi! I'm Megan and I host the Kansas City MomCast podcast! Chris and I are both K-Staters and have been married for 16 years- time flies! Our daughter, Peyton, is 11 and our son, Gage, is 8. In our home also resides our insane lab, two cats (one with PICA), and two guinea pigs. You can find me substitute teaching (former full time elementary teacher), doing live sales on Facebook for locally owned kids' resale store, KC Grow Co, reading informational and self-help texts, and listening to podcasts. I also love decluttering/organizing, spending time with friends over margaritas, thrifting, and staying up way too late to have peace and serenity. I love people and hearing their stories and look forward to connecting with KCMC readers and listeners!
