Join us at the Arboretum for a special evening leading up to a total lunar eclipse. While the full eclipse won’t happen until later in the evening, we’ll be checking out the early night sky with powerful telescopes from the Kansas City Astronomical Society. It’s the perfect way to prepare for the moon’s transformation into a stunning red hue as it passes through Earth’s shadow.
Operation Wildlife will be on-site with some of their incredible rescue birds, including hawks you may not have encountered before like the broad-winged hawk and the rough-legged hawk.
It’s all included with regular Arboretum admission: Ages 5 and under are free, $3 ages 6-17, $7 ages 18+.
