Superheroes took over Zona Rosa’s Central Park on a beautiful fall morning for the fourth annual Kansas City Mom Collective Hanging with Heroes! We want to thank Oakhill Day School for being the title sponsor of this SUPER event.
A hero-worthy balloon installation from Balloonista made the perfect backdrop for kids to pose for photos with their favorite superheroes at a photo stop sponsored by Fry Orthodontics. Together with our amazing activity sponsors, they helped make this event truly come to life.
Our friends at Just-Us League and Planet Anime Kansas City invited their superhero and pop culture posse to the event. Kids were thrilled to come face-to-face with heroes like Spiderman, Ghost-Spider, Captain America, Superman, Rogue, Rumi, Miraculous, Snow White and many more!
Community heroes from the Kansas City Fire Department and Kansas City Police Department were on hand to answer questions and let kids hop into their vehicles and check them out. Kids even meet some furry heroes from Pets for Life including several very good dogs, and an giant rabbit, named Voodoo!
Kids in attendance brought in food donations to benefit Feed Northland Kids.
Our attendees took part in games and activities that had them training as superheroes with an obstacle course, creating their own masks, testing their strength and defeating villains.
Zona Rosa’s Central Park was the perfect location to play and giggle your way through the fountain, play on the playground and splash in the puddles while enjoying superhero fuel from Bravo Italian Kitchen and superhero-themed lemonades from Moore Lemonade. Kids also danced with tunes from DJ Miles.
