October will surely bring fall weather to Kansas City … finally! We’re excited about all the fall festivals and Halloween activities all over the metro.


Cornucopia (Oct. 14-16)

PNC Bank presents the third annual CORNUCOPIA taking the Kansas City Power & Light District by storm this fall season! Cornucopia is KC’s Ultimate. Fall. Festival. Pumpkin spice and everything nice will be at the third annual Cornucopia! Enjoy a fall filled District boasting with family-friendly activities, live entertainment, food/drink tastings and more.Cornucopia will cover three streets throughout the District and surround the KC Live! Block Friday, October 14 through Sunday, October 16.This year we are excited to partner with Kansas City’s premier pop-up maker market, The Strawberry Swing, to showcase local and regional makers and artists who will be selling everything from apparel to jewelry to home goods, paintings, prints, pet items, and more.

West Bottoms Fall Festival (Oct. 1)

Join the Strawberry Swing indie craft fair as it returns to the West Bottoms to celebrate all things fall, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 1. Artists and makers, food trucks, live music, and live mural painting with Spray KC will be set up under the I-670 bridge.

Missouri Town Fall Festival (Oct. 1)

Explore the sights and sounds of the harvest season from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 1! Historic interpreters, artisans, musicians, and crafters will bring to life the hard work and celebration that took place as the crops came in. Hitch a ride on a wagon, see sorghum being made, play a 19th-century game, and make memories to last a lifetime.

Library in the Park (Oct. 1)

Library in the Park in Kansas City, Kan., is back 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Come celebrate at Huron Park behind the Main Library! The 2022 Library in the Park’s featured author is local teacher and former Hallmark artist Daniel Miyares, who wrote “Hope at Sea.” Free copies of the book will be handed out, and Miyares will be available to sign them. A giant book and movie sale will feature items for just $1 (cash only). Other activities include music, bubbles, face painting, library programming, craft kits and more.

Brew at the Zoo, and Wine Too (Oct. 15)

Brew at the Zoo is back from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15! Enjoy live music, great food, and tastings from more than 25 local breweries and wineries all in a WILD outdoor setting. All the same fun you love, with a smaller crowd, so buy your tickets early!

Night of the Living Farm at Deanna Rose Farmstead (Oct. 21-29)

Experience the Deanna Rose Farmstead after dark, if you dare. Enjoy traditional “spooktacular” fun including a DJ dance party, pirate ship race, spooky experiments, storytelling, flashlight scavenger hunt, games and food for purchase. Buy tickets online. The festival is 5:30 p.m.-9 p.m., on October 21, 22, 28 and 29.

Enchanted Forest (Oct. 27)

For one night only, Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park is transformed into The Enchanted Forest 4-8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 27. Enjoy performances by puppets, musicians and singers along the trail around Rose’s Pond and fun photos in the photo booth. Stroll the seasonal displays, visit friendly characters, and enjoy performances. Costumes optional.
