Fall is here, which means weekends spent at pumpkin patches in Kansas City! Get ready to bounce on the jump pillows, get lost in corn mazes and of course, pick the perfect pumpkin at your favorite pumpkin patch in Kansas City.

Johnson Farms Plants and Pumpkins

Johnson Farms is a laidback experience whether you visit their market, greenhouse, u-pick offerings, fall fun activities, or pumpkin patch! At Johnson Farms, you’ll find: u-pick vegetables, apples and pumpkin patch open daily, wagon rides, farm animals, fall games, pumpkin cannon and chomper, jumping pillow, corn pits, and more! Don’t miss the apple cider drinks and fresh donuts! Adult and family season passes available to visit all fall for one low price.

Weston Red Barn

Beginning Labor Day Weekend, the farm is open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily through the first weekend in November. In addition to picking the perfect pumpkin, make a day of it with tractor or horse-drawn hay rides, pony rides, farm animals, country store and a corn maze.

KCMC Tip: Admission and parking are free. Just pay for the activities you want to participate in.

Liberty Corn Maze

This year’s design will be announced soon but it’s always epic! Smaller mazes made with rock, rope, tire and soybeans are perfect for littles that aren’t ready for the big maze. The festivities begin Sept. 13. Check out the rules and maze hours before you go.

KCMC Tip: Who says kids have all the fall fun? Make this a date night and rent (in advance) a Hillbilly Kitchen Kampfire, take in a free concert, and relax at the Grain Drain Saloon and Beer Garden!

Faulkner’s Ranch (Kansas City, Mo.)

Highlights include a pumpkin patch, Wild West playground, hayride, petting farm barn, field maze, duck races, games, train ride, corn cannon and face painting (some attractions weekend only). Tickets are available online for the Pumpkin Festival, which runs Oct. 3-27.

Carolyn’s Country Cousins (Liberty, Mo.)

A mining camp, petting zoo and pig races highlight this pumpkin patch that also offers a variety of food options. The farm opens Sept. 21. Hours vary and the farm is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

KC Pumpkin Patch (Olathe, Kan.)

The KC Pumpkin Patch has more than 50 fall attractions including a barrel train, duck races, human foosball, gemstone mining, jumping pad, farm animals and a corn crib. Plus, pumpkin picking, of course. Check out special events, hours and ticket options here. The patch opens Sept. 28.

Louisburg Cider Mill

Whether you are looking to start a new family tradition or you have been coming to Louisburg Cider Mill for years, we always strive to make your experience wonderful and full of firsts. Enjoy live music, food vendors, corn maze, jump pillow, apple cider and pumpkins! Fall fun begins Sept. 13.

Alldredge Orchard (Platte City, Mo.)

Get your apples and pumpkins in one spot! Alldredge is open Saturdays and Sundays in September and October for apple picking and weekends in October for pumpkins. The orchard also has a playground, store, bakery and cafe and farm animals.

KCMC Tip: Check Facebook before you go to ensure the variety of apples available is one you want. U-Pick will not be available every weekend. Pumpkins are priced by weight.

Powell Pumpkin Patch

This family-owned patch in Louisburg offers FREE admission! Opening Sept. 28, this 35-acre patch offers free hayrides and a corn maze for an additional fee. Small concession stand with packaged snacks and drinks available. Open daily, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
KCMC Tip: A quarter-mile nature trail has a great view of Kansas wildlife and trees.

Schaake’s Pumpkin Patch

Another free admission patch! Schaake’s in Lawrence features pick-your-own-pumpkins, , a hay maze, the straw romp, farm animals, and a photo area. Opens Sept. 28, Monday-Thursdays, noon – 6 p.m. and Friday-Sunday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

KCMC Tip: No concessions except bottled water available this year.

Gieringers Orchards

Gieringers offers a corn maze, pumpkin patch, sunflower fields, hay rides, jump pad and other fun activities beginning in late September on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Get a season pass for a family of five for $90.

KCMC Tip: Bring your own wagon or wheelbarrow for your pumpkin haul.

Fun Farm Pumpkin Patch

This Kearney farm has a pumpkin patch, barrel train, pig races, tricycle track, pumpkin cannon, rubber duck races, Keebler village treehouses, and more. Opens Sept. 13 thru Nov. 3 for fall fun, Wednesdays-Sundays.

Kerby Farm

Don’t miss the horse swings, lasso practice areas along with a pumpkin patch, zip line, corn maze, farm animals and play areas. Opening September 28 (through Oct. 27) in Bonner Springs, weekends only. $8 admission for ages 3 and up. Pumpkins are priced per pound.
