The West Bottoms is one of the oldest areas of Kansas City. Several months ago, as we began to look ahead to celebrating our first year of connecting with local moms through Kansas City Moms Blog, we knew that we wanted to do it in a place that “felt” like Kansas City – large enough to contain an event of this size, but with an intimate atmosphere that would leave moms feeling as though they’d just enjoyed a piece of povitica at their best friend’s table.
Looking back, it’s hard to say whether Bella Patina chose us or if we chose them – but from our first interactions with Patti, Megan and Greg until the doors closed on our latest (and arguably, our best) Moms Night Out, we knew this was the place we wanted to be.
At the end of the day, we wanted our moms to feel as though they’d experienced something good – and so, in addition to those things that moms have come to expect from our events (namely, food, drinks, and lots of freebies and giveaways), we decided to add something that few moms can say “no” to:
PAMPERING.
From eyebrows to lips to fingernails, the ladies of Face & Body Skincare by Heidi, Jamberry Nails and Niki’s Wax Bar went the extra mile to make our moms feel special.
Also on hand were representatives from Baby Steps to Essential Oils, Bar Method and MOPS International.
None of this would have been possible without the continued support of our title sponsor, Burleson Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry. With a heart for children, Dr. Burleson and his team were excited to join us for another year to not only educate and encourage our moms, but to share some fantastic freebies and giveaways, as well!
The 25,000 square feet of “vintage revival” inside Bella Patina provided an amazing backdrop – and plenty of opportunity to shop! – throughout the night.
