Bus-eum Visits Kansas City Public Library, April 11-12

The Kansas City Public Library will host a unique traveling exhibition spotlighting the environmental and societal challenges of climate change in celebration of Earth Day later this month.

The Bus-eum, a retrofitted school bus turned museum operated by German and American university students and other volunteers, stops Tuesday and Wednesday, April 11 and 12, at the Library’s Southeast and Trails West branches. The exhibition, Heartland’s Future: How Might We Live Together on a Changing Planet?, is designed to educate visitors about climate change with information on regional history, discussions, films, presentations, and publications.

Among the focuses are the importance of agriculture in the Midwest and our changing view on food, new modes of working on a changing planet, the problems and potential of sustainable energy, and how social justice informs our approach to fighting climate change.
