Remake Learning Days Festival at Johnson County Community College

May 4

Wonder, explore, and learn with us. It’s FREE!

Join us for a showcase of hands-on, engaging educational experiences for kids of all ages.

Schedule

10 a.m. Unleash your child’s inner musician and make an instrument out of recycled crafts in the Midwest Trust Center (MTC) lobby, led by the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art. If there’s energy left to burn, visit MyGym’s gymnastics arena to work on balancing and tumbling.

11 a.m. Sing along in Spanish and English with 123 Andrés at a MTC Kids Jam Concert in Polsky Theatre.

Noon-3 p.m. Dive into learning with dozens of fun learning activities across campus. Choose the ones you wish to attend. Visit each activity at your own pace—there are no scheduled start times. Complete activity list is available on our website.

3 p.m. Treat the family to a wild musical adventure from the StoneLion Puppets! Karma the elephant and animal photographer Felicia Flash introduce you to the colorful creatures that make our planet magical. Orangutans, Javanese tigers, binturongs, and gibbons swing to the beat of the music while hornbills and dog-faced fruit bats fly into the audience. Intricate marionettes, fun mouth puppets, and even a life-size bear sing about conservation. Join us in GEB 233, Craig Auditorium. “It’s a Jungle Out There” is part of StoneLion’s animal conservation series, which has played since 1986 in zoos across the country.
