Briarcliff Holiday Lighting Celebration

Come celebrate with the Village this year at our Annual Holiday Lighting Ceremony and Fireworks Display! 

Legendary Tree Lighting
November 11, 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.

The Legendary Tree Lighting is back and brighter than ever with a new state-of-the-art synchronized music and light show, face painting, balloon art, mascot appearances and so much more! A 45-foot tree returns this year as the Legends Outlets’ main centerpiece, located at the center of the Civic Courtyard Fountain in front of AMC Legends 14 Movie Theater. Upgraded with a brand new LED light show that’s synchronized to music, the Christmas tree will continue to brighten spirits until early January 2023.

Overland Park Mayor’s Holiday Tree Lighting
November 17, 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Kick off the holiday season in Downtown Overland Park at this FREE community event! Join the Mayor as he lights the tree in Thompson Park at 6 p.m. Come listen to live music, get your picture with Santa, do some holiday shopping and so much more during this festive evening!

Mayor’s Tree Lighting: North Kansas City
December 1, 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

This year’s tree lighting is at a new location! The ceremony will be held on the SW corner of Armour Road and Swift Street across from CVS Pharmacy. Kick off the holiday season with us as the Mayor lights the tree! Enjoy festive sing-a-longs, classic holiday refreshments, kids crafts, and a special visit from Santa and his elves!

Zona Rosa Holiday Lighting Celebration
November 18, 4 p.m. – p.m.

Zona Rosa will kick off the 2023 holiday season with the annual lighting ceremony featuring the historic holiday crowns and majestic 55′ Christmas tree! Enjoy local bands, ice skating, hot cocoa and coffee bar, take an elfie photo, and Santa’s arrival at 6 p.m.

Excelsior Springs’ Lighted Christmas Parade
November 18, 6 p.m.

ALOHA! Are you ready for the GREATEST parade? The Annual Lighted Christmas Parade is coming soon to Downtown Excelsior Springs! The parade kicks off following the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting! Pick a spot on Broadway or Thompson and enjoy the show!

Sarah grew up in Manhattan, Kansas (Go Cats!), she moved to Minnesota where she met her husband, Shea. Realizing how much she hated snow in May, she convinced him to move to Kansas City in 2010. Together they have lived in Midtown, Waldo, the Plaza, and now Overland Park. Sarah is mom to 10-year-old, Henry, 7-year-old Clark and 5-year-old Lucy. She has her master’s in urban administration and is passionate about making Kansas City a more equitable and supportive community. In between the crazy, she likes to drink coffee, run, hike, travel as much as possible, and experience all things Kansas City!
