Meet Dr. Laurel Short
Dr. Laurel Short is a Family Nurse Practitioner at Sunflower Medical in Roeland Park, Kansas. She earned her undergraduate degree in Nursing from Luther College and a master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Kansas. She completed her Doctor of Nursing degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City with an emphasis on self-management for chronic migraine. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Headache Medicine. Laurel is currently the president of the Kansas Advance Practice Nurse Association, and she is an active leader with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Academy of Spinal Cord Injury Professionals. Outside of the office, you will find her training for triathlon and running events and spectating activities for her two young children.

Megan’s son just completed the Adventures in Biking Camp and cannot say enough positive things!
