@christadubill | Emmy award-winning news anchor, Christa Dubill, resides in KC as the anchor for The Now KC at 4 p.m. and 41 Action News at 6 p.m. She posts informative local news, updates and relatable motherhood and living in KC tweets.
@DoctorNatasha | Dr. Natasha Burgert is a KC pediatrician, mother and writer who constantly strives to better the patient-doctor relationship. With two kids, she stays busy with family while also caring for children in the KC area. @jeanpetersbaker | Well known Jackson County Prosecutor, Jean Peters Baker, is a mother of three who’s fostered children and adopted two of her own. @iammireilleenos | Are you a fan of the #TGIT shows? Mereille Enos plays Alice Vaughn in Shonda Rhimes’ latest, The Catch. She was born in Kansas City and went on to appear in Sex and the City, CSI, on Broadway and more before landing her latest star role as Alice.
@scottkfoley | Apparently Shonda Rhimes has a thing for Kansas City natives, as Scott Foley plays Jake Ballard on one of TV’s most popular shows, Scandal. Foley was born in KC and went on to also appear in shows like Dawson’s Creek, Scrubs and The Unit. @DavidKoechner | A comedian born and raised near Kansas City, you may remember David Kouchner from comedies like Anchorman, The Office and SNL.
@RobRiggle | Rob Riggle’s family moved to Kansas City when he was a toddler, and Riggle stayed all the way through his graduation at KU. He’s also a comedian known mainly for his brash and bold humor in several movies and shows, including 21 Jump Street, The Internship and The League.
@ericstonestreet | Modern Family. Cam. That’s really all you need to know to go follow this hilarious actor and wonderful comedian. To top it off, he gives a shout out to Kansas City from time to time and helps raise money for KC causes like Children’s Mercy during this year’s Big Slick KC.

@mollymcnearney | Molly lived in KC, attended KU and is now the co-head writer for Jimmy Kimmel Live. After a few years of working on the show, she started a relationship and eventually marriage with Jimmy Kimmel. McNearney currently posts comical tweets about life, work, motherhood and marriage.

@965TheBuzz | This local radio station is deeply involved in KC and has some of the most well-known events and bold radio personalities–including Lazlo, Afentra and Jeriney. Their music style is alternative, they’re not afraid to tackle hot topics during talk segments, they make KC laugh, and the station’s Twitter account reflects all of that and more. One of their most influential contributions to KC is the Love Longer KC Project and movement to “Be Kind.”
@BigSlickKC | The Big Slick KC is an account for the annual fundraiser to raise money for Children’s Mercy. It began in 2010 when Kansas City native, Rob Riggle, contacted other homegrown comedians with the idea to host a poker tournament to raise money for Children’s Mercy. Each year they put on an event with some of the most well-known comedians and raise money and awareness for the children’s network. This year’s event brought in record-breaking donations, featuring a softball tournament at Kauffman Stadium, a bowling tournament and an auction with over 1,600 attendees and 30 celebrities. In attendance this year were comedians Rob Riggle, Paul Rudd, Jason Sudeikis, David Koechner, Eric Stonestreet and Adam Scott.

@SpacesKC | KC contains some of the most crafty and creative parents and individuals around. Between First Fridays and the strong niche for repurposing furniture and decorating homes in KC, Spaces Magazine offers great home design, fashion and fine-living advice for locals.
@SingleWingKC | If you’re into design, branding and KC, this is the Twitter account to follow. Single Wing KC created the artwork for KC’s very own emoji board and is constantly keeping locals in the loop with great design and upbeat tweets.
@ChildrensMercy | Children’s Mercy Kansas City is seen nationally as a pediatric medical center involved in high-quality care, research and education for local children. @KCStar | The Kansas City Star is one of KC’s oldest and most reliable news outlets and sources for personable, unique and local stories. Follow them for up-to-date information on breaking news and upbeat, heartwarming updates on people and businesses in the KC area.
@TheFastPitch | The Pitch is a trendy news outlet with updates on modern events and unique stories throughout KC.
